Launching the new portal, UIDAI Chairman Nandan Nilekani said, “The website is quite comprehensive and is a complete Hindi translation of the UIDAI portal. Unlike other websites translated into Hindi, this Hindi portal is a sensible translation of the master website.”

According to R.S. Sharma, Director General & Mission Director, UIDAI, the site has been launched to give a pan-India appeal to the website. He added that both the English and the Hindi versions will be on the same plane and that the Hindi portal too will update information in real time without compromising on the quality of the content.

As Hindi is the first language of a majority of people in India, the new portal will definitely make citizens aware of the Unique Identification project and will answer their queries.

The Hindi website can be accessed by clicking a link given on the yellow bar beneath the Aadhaar logo on the English website http://www.uidai.gov.in/.
