The Uttarakhand government has decided to set up cyber cells in all police stations across the state to help curb the rising graph of cyber crimes.
Cyber cells would be in coordination with each other at both the district as well as the State-level. This will also help the police department as they would be able to coordinate with each other at all times.
A relatively new form of crime, it has the potential to leash unimaginable threat and damage to not only individuals but to the country as well. Well-qualified and trained professionals would be deployed to take charge of these sensitive cells.
Uttarakhand also launched a video conferencing system to link the state with the Central Appellate Tribunal to facilitate interaction of the state’s cyber cells with the central body.
