With this, information such as data of patient referrals, free beds at private hospitals built on government land and job vacancies will be available to the public.

It will also help the government in consolidating its health services across the city for better networking and monitoring. The system will be upgraded with more applications soon.

The department has plans to expand this to cover outstation services in all city hospitals and dispensaries by gathering data about each patient who registers into a government OPD.

In a major step towards ensuring transparency, the system will also list the salary as well as other allowances of each staff member. Records of purchases made by the Equipment Procurement Cell of the Health department will also be available online.

The website also lists the contact numbers of officers in charge of providing subsidised services at all the aligned private hospitals. For more information, contact the MIS helpline number 011-23230960.
