The network supports data, voice and video applications. Through SWAN, the Government is able to monitor the implementation of various promotional schemes online. Another key project involving setting up of the State Service Delivery Gateway was being implemented. It would not only facilitate data-sharing, but would also bring about integration within departments.

The Department of IT, GoH is also setting up the State e-Governance Management Team (SeMT) to provide technical and professional support to all government departments initiating and implementing e-government services. The SeMT will provide 24/7 helpdesk services for operations and maintenance.
